It is important to decide the tone of the article before starting to write! Even if you don’t have all the contents, decide whether it is a serious article or a casual breezy one! So that the readers don’t get confused. But rules, schmules! The world has completely gone topsy-turvy, so this article will be funny ( hopefully), sarcastic ( praying it is) and also serious. Also it will be in tamil and english, instead of just one language because again, rules, schmules!

Pandemics such as the coronavirus clearly show us our privilege. Even in a time of complete lockdown, if you are only worried about your entertainment options, then you are clearly high up on the ladder! Remember that even after all this noise dies!

Again take everything with a pinch of salt.

People keep yapping that this social distancing is going to bring our families closer together. If you really thought not being at home was the villain, it’s that tiny thing with those antennas, sitting in a corner of your home, swaying your family like puppets. When the internet goes down, we can talk about some real 2000’s style family bonding with everybody watching the same screen! So if you were imagining a Engal Veetil Ellaa Naalum Kaarthigai type stay-cation, wash that off with that over-priced sanitizer!

Never been one of those clean freaks but if you watch enough movies about epidemics, you will be afraid to even touch your own hand. You can do everything right, but you pass a plate which was sneezed on by a infected person who got it from a currency note which was handled by a butcher cutting the infected pig which had eaten the droppings of an infected bat. Then you are done! So if you can manage to stay home without starving or going penniless, please do it!

Embrace this social-distance sounds like a very bourgeois thing to say! But we shall overcome this too. Trust in science, rational thought and humanity. Don’t do anything stupid!
